As Zimbabweans we are now used  to Nigerian movies well known as Nolly hood and Indian movies(Bolly hood). These have become alternatives since our entertainment industry is doomed. fortunately technology has brought forward a good package to boost the Zimbabwean entertainment industry.

Our Zim soapies have turned out to be a huge disappointment in most cases hence Zimbabweans from diaspora set to improve the entertainment industry by coming up with an idea to start a new platform which is going to put Zimbabwe on the global spotlight.

Bulawayo24NEWS reporter said Zolly wood is a brainchild of Zimbabweans who are based in the United Kingdom, Tony Mliswa and Thulani Mutswimbo. They first showcased a movie called the Gentleman an The In-Laws in London and it turned out to be a huge success.

These two movies landed them a deal with Klear tv Channel SKY 232 tv and under which it was  agreed that the Zimbabwean movie will be aired every Monday at 8pm. This is going to put Zimbabwe on the global spotlight..

This is the time for the Zimbabwean media industry to improve its standards and generate money and in the near future it will help boost the Zimbabwean economy. Thanks to be to technology Zollyhood films will be showcased on M NET.
